Being in nature actually helps us become more human. Finnish researchers say being in nature a minimum of 5 hours a month will make you feel happier over all. Too many of us in today’s busy society spend too much time indoors and we forget so quickly our real roots are actually within nature and not technology.
Again and again, studies are suggesting that being in nature exercises a powerful effect on the way that brains and bodies develop, and that playing outside creates the conditions for the free, creative and autonomous play that fosters naturally healthy, motivated and confident children.
We were established in 2003 and have always been passionate about being outdoors. We have grown to offer our families the opportunity to be part of the Forest School Community with our fully qualified Forest School Leader and forest school trained staff. The children develop strong physical, social and language skills. We guide them and support them in their journey through Forest School because we want to educate children to care about their natural world and gain and grow from the forest school ethos.
We believe that teaching should be about enabling every child to reach their full potential through an uplifting and positive stance on learning. We teach through self-led learning and give the children the space and freedom to explore.
