At Jack and Gill, we believe children thrive when they feel truly connected — to nature, to animals, to each other, and to themselves.
Since 2003, our small, family-run setting has offered something a little different: a carefully considered blend of Forest School learning and real-life experiences on our working smallholding. It is a place where children can explore nature, feed animals, plant vegetables, and grow in every sense of the word.
Here, nature is not simply the backdrop — it is central to how children learn and develop. Whether they are chopping wood or collecting eggs from the chickens, each experience is purposeful, supporting confidence, curiosity, creativity, and a deep respect for the world around them.
Our experienced team guides each child with patience, warmth, and consistency. We take time to truly know every child, offering a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, understood, and able to explore at their own pace.
We are proud to remain a small, values-led setting, where relationships matter and where families are known, listened to, and supported.
Much of our community grows through recommendation — something we value deeply and continue to earn through the care we provide every day.
At Jack and Gill, every day is an adventure — rooted in nature, grounded in real experiences, and shaped by a thoughtful, experienced team.
Boots on. Let’s grow something amazing.
